SRC's Mike Moates goes Carbon Positive.

Scottish Rally Championship competitor and co-sponsor Mike Moates goes Carbon Positive.

Popular KNC Groundworks SRC competitor and championship co-sponsor Mike Moates has decided to go carbon positive for the 2022 season with Carbon Positive Motorsport.

Through his company Moates Offshore, Mike has been a long-standing supporter of the

Scottish Rally Championship. This year Moates Offshore are sponsoring the SRC Junior Championship, supporting drivers and co drivers who are under the age of 26.

Paul Glass, director of Carbon Positive Motorsport commented, "I’m really pleased to see Mike recognising the need to act on the environmental challenges we face in the sport. I first got to know of Mike and his support of the sport last year when Moates Offshore did a lot to support last year’s Snowman Rallython.

"Sponsoring the SRC juniors for me shows just how much he thinks beyond his own competition interests and to actively help to invest in the sport for the future, something that drives our purpose."

Speaking after the Snowman Rally, Mike addded, "I think it's time to try and reduce the impact of my rallying on the environment, that’s why we have decided to make a change. It’s vital that we all do what we can to reduce our emissions and protect the planet and the future of motorsport. So, I’m really excited to be involved with such an important project, and with Carbon Positive Motorsport.

"It’s not only exciting to see the positive impact we can all make together, but also its important to demonstrate to our sponsors that that we are thinking about the bigger picture, and what we can do to do our bit."
