Carbon Positive Motorsport ambassador Max Coates delivered a standout performance at Snetterton, securing his first overall win and a dominant Pro-Am class victory in Race 2 of the Porsche Carrera Cup GB double-header.

Racing for Duckhams Yuasa Racing by Graves Motorsport, CPM Ambassador Max Coates approached the weekend determined to build momentum after a solid start to his 2025 campaign.
Qualifying was tricky, with traffic interrupting his fast lap, leaving him to start Race 1 from 11th overall and fourth in the Pro-Am class.
Despite the setback, Max wasted no time moving forward once the lights went out for race 1. He stayed calm through a chaotic early phase of the race and made confident progress through the field, including an impressive overtake around the outside at Brundle. His pace and composure brought him home in sixth place overall and third in class – a valuable podium result keeping him firmly in the championship hunt.

Thanks to the reverse-grid format, Max started Race 2 from pole position – and from the very beginning, he controlled the race with authority. A clean getaway off the line gave him a crucial advantage, and from there he managed the pressure superbly, pulling clear of the chasing pack. Maintaining focus lap after lap, he led every corner of the race to take a commanding lights-to-flag win – his first in the series and a major career milestone.

Speaking after the race, Max reflected: "I'm absolutely delighted to take my first overall win in the Porsche Carrera Cup GB and my first Pro-Am class win.
"That win means a lot. Leading from the front is never easy mentally, especially in a one-make series like this, but I just focused on hitting my marks and keeping it clean. The team gave me a great car, and it all came together today."

The result moves Max to the top of the Pro-Am standings – a testament to his consistency and the professionalism he brings to every round. As an ambassador for Carbon Positive Motorsport, Max is not only competing at the highest level, but also helping to lead by example in making motorsport more environmentally responsible.

Steve Smith, Director of Carbon Positive Motorsport, commented:"We’re absolutely delighted to see Max take this well-earned victory. He’s been a brilliant ambassador for our work, showing that high performance and environmental responsibility can go hand in hand. Wins like this inspire confidence in the future of sustainable motorsport, and we’re proud to be supporting Max as he continues to set the standard both on and off the track."
