Rali Ceredigion returns this September with 115 miles of challenging stages, international competition, and continues its pioneering 200% offsetting commitment in it's 4th year of partnership with Carbon Positive Motorsport

The JDS Machinery Rali Ceredigion will take place from 5-7 September, bringing the thrill of international rallying back to the scenic roads of West Wales. As the only UK round of the FIA European Rally Championship and a key fixture in the Probite British Rally Championship, it has become a flagship event for British rallying, drawing competitors and fans from across Europe.
Based once again in Aberystwyth, the 2025 event will visit new stages and areas across Ceredigion, Powys and Carmarthenshire – a mix of spectacular roads around reservoirs and mountains, technical country lanes, and the fan-friendly Aberystwyth street stage, which will run on both Friday and Saturday evenings. Over the course of the weekend, crews will take on 12 demanding asphalt stages, covering a total of 115 miles of competition.
Crews will begin on Friday evening with the street stage through Aberystwyth, before tackling iconic tests across Pendam, Cwm Elan, and Devil’s Bridge. Among the highlights is the formidable 21 mile “Y Diafol” stage, set to push crews to their limits ahead of a podium celebration back in Aberystwyth on Sunday.

The entry list brings together some of the most exciting names in both European and British rallying. From the ERC, title contenders Miko Marczyk of Poland and Andrea Mabellini of Italy head a strong international line-up, joined by a host of leading crews from across the continent.
The British Rally Championship battle will also play out on the roads of Ceredigion, with William Creighton looking to strengthen his title hopes. He faces fierce competition from fellow frontrunners Osian Pryce, Meirion Evans and Callum Black, all of whom bring proven pace and ambition to one of the most demanding rallies of the season. For rising Welsh star Ioan Lloyd, Rali Ceredigion offers a special opportunity to perform in front of a home crowd on stages that have inspired his rallying journey.

Both the international and national events will tackle the same stages and mileage. Alongside the FIA European Rally Championship and the British Rally Championship, the rally also counts towards the FIA ERC3 and ERC4 titles, the Stellantis Motorsport Rally Cup IRE & UK, the Motorsport UK National Rally Title, and the JD Tyres Welsh National Tarmacadam Championship.
For fans, accessibility and atmosphere are at the heart of this year’s event. The Rali Show on Aberystwyth Promenade opens proceedings on Friday afternoon with a ceremonial start, autograph opportunities, and a chance to meet the crews, all free to attend. Throughout the weekend, dedicated Fan Zones at each stage will provide excellent views alongside live commentary, parking, catering, toilets and recycling facilities. Children enjoy free access to the Aberystwyth stages, and a family-friendly pricing structure ensures the rally remains accessible to all.

Rali Ceredigion continues to raise the bar for sustainability in UK rallying. The organisers were the first in the country to earn FIA Environmental Accreditation and remain committed to reducing the sport’s environmental impact. This year, all unavoidable emissions will be offset to 200% of their calculated level, using a combination of accredited Carbon Reduction Units (CRUs) for immediate mitigation, and Pending Issuance Units (PIUs) from verified UK rewilding projects that deliver additional future capture as the projects mature. Delivered in partnership with Carbon Positive Motorsport, this commitment will support the Sequoia rewilding project in Abergavenny, Wales, a long-term initiative that restores ecosystems, enhances biodiversity and strengthens community resilience.
Carbon Positive Motorsport will be at Rali Engage
Carbon Positive Motorsport are proud to support Rali Engage, the community engagement event held at Aberystwyth Bandstand across the rally weekend. Rali Engage brings together organisations, schools and local groups to showcase education, sustainability and community initiatives, and CPM’s presence will highlight how motorsport can take practical climate action. By being part of this programme, CPM will help inspire young people, families and fans to see how sustainability can be woven into the future of the sport.

Steve Smith, director of Carbon Positive Motorsport, reflected: "Being part of both the offsetting programme and Rali Engage feels like the perfect match for this event. It shows how high-level competition and meaningful environmental action can coexist - especially when you bring local communities and the next generation into the same conversation. That’s what makes Rali Ceredigion stand out, and why we are proud to support it."
