Carbon Positive Motorsport will partner with the Junior Formula 1000 Rally Championship to support environmental education and carbon reduction.
Carbon Positive Motorsport is proud to announce a new partnership with the Junior Formula 1000 Rally Championship, aimed at helping young competitors understand, reduce, and offset the environmental impact of their motorsport activities.

Championship co-ordinator Chris Brown with rising star Zak Furber.
As part of this collaboration, every competitor will receive a 25% discount when purchasing carbon offsetting for their season through Carbon Positive Motorsport. This initiative is designed to make meaningful carbon reduction more accessible to all teams within the championship.
To further support environmental awareness, all drivers and co-drivers will have access to online environmental training, with each participant receiving a Certificate of Achievement upon completion. The training introduces young competitors to how rallying generates emissions and highlights simple, practical steps they can take to reduce their environmental footprint both on and off the stages.

The partnership will recognise the teams who promote positive environmental action.
The partnership will also introduce a new Environmental Achievement Award, recognising the top three teams across the season who demonstrate leadership in promoting positive environmental action.
Judging will consider behaviour within the service area, team operations, and wider communication that encourages responsible environmental practice.
A key element of the initiative is encouraging teams to explore the value of creating their own team environmental policy - a short written commitment outlining how they intend to operate sustainably. For young competitors, this is an opportunity to learn a skill increasingly expected in modern motorsport and many other industries. While such a policy can help teams present themselves professionally, the emphasis is firmly on education, personal development, and understanding the role environmental responsibility plays in the future of the sport.

Young competitors have the opportunity to offset their unavoidable emissions from fuel usage
Chris Davies, Championship Co-ordinator, said: "We’re incredibly excited to be partnering with Carbon Positive Motorsport for the season ahead. The Junior Formula 1000 Rally Championship has always been about developing young talent, and this partnership adds an important new dimension to that mission. Giving our competitors the tools to understand their environmental impact and the opportunity to take real, positive action is a huge step forward for the future of our sport. I’m proud that our championship is helping to lead the way and I can’t wait to see how our teams embrace these new initiatives throughout the year."
Steve Smith, Director of Carbon Positive Motorsport, added, "We have a long history of supporting junior championships because we see that this is where the future of the sport lies. Helping young competitors understand environmental responsibility at the start of their careers creates habits that will stay with them as they progress through rallying. This partnership is about giving competitors practical knowledge, achievable actions, and the opportunity to be part of a positive change that will help protect the future of motorsport."
By engaging Junior competitors early in their careers, this partnership aims to build long-term awareness of environmental responsibility, helping protect the future of rallying while supporting teams in developing the knowledge and habits that will benefit them throughout their motorsport journey.
Junior Competitors can use the discount code F1000LEARN to benefit from a 25% discount when they offset their emissions for the entire season.
