Carbon Positive Motorsport is proud to continue supporting long-time ambassador Sarah Hall in the 2025 Focus Cup Championship, as she returns to the track with renewed focus and a clear commitment to sustainability.

Following a challenging 2024 campaign, that nonetheless saw her crowned Ladies Cup Champion and finish second in the AM standings, Sarah began her third season in the Focus Cup determined to push forward and build on her past progress. The new season also brings a shift for the championship itself, with the introduction of a more sustainable GTL biofuel across the diesel-powered Class 2 – the category where Sarah competes – alongside a new petrol Class 1 featuring 300bhp variants.
Reflecting on the season so far, Sarah said: “The season opener was nothing short of action-packed at Donington Park. It was a long-awaited jump back into the car after what felt like an eternity since the 2024 season ended.”
With limited opportunity for pre-season testing, Sarah made full use of the official Friday test and a track walk with her driver coach to regain her rhythm. Qualifying delivered a clean run, but Race 1 brought complications due to the expanded grid – with the back third of cars unable to see the usual start signals from their position on the GP loop. Despite the confusion, Sarah kept composed and brought the car home to finish the first race of the year.
Race 2, however, was a different story. Contact between Class 1 cars at Turn 1 left coolant on the circuit, and after repeated cleanup attempts and green flag laps, the race was ultimately abandoned. “It was very disappointing,” said Sarah, “but we’re hoping to get the chance to add an extra race at Snetterton later in the season.”

Round two at Silverstone National proved a stronger weekend all round. With her past experience on the GP layout providing useful reference, Sarah headed into the event feeling positive. Testing and qualifying offered valuable seat time – and the racing delivered the kind of mixed conditions that make for real progress.
Race 1 started in tricky circumstances, with rain falling just as the grid was released and oil on the circuit from the preceding session. “With no clean line through the oil slick, several of us had a small trip across the grass before rejoining the track – but of course, losing places. Although it did spice things up a bit!”
With drier conditions for Race 2, Sarah found her confidence and pace. She became locked in a battle with a faster car for several laps – a chase that helped her take a full three seconds off her qualifying time. “Although I was overtaken eventually, it was brilliant to make some personal progress as a driver and go away smiling after a weekend’s racing – which is why we all do it, right?”

Sarah returned to the iconic Brands Hatch GP circuit for Round 3, marking her first competitive outing at the venue since her debut race in 2021. Back on a layout that demands flow and commitment, she approached the weekend with her usual positivity and determination.
Sarah’s openness about the highs and lows of her season is matched by her ongoing passion for sustainable motorsport. “As always, it’s great to have the support of friends and family – and of course, Carbon Positive Motorsport, who are making the right moves to help our sport be more sustainable.”
We’re proud to support Sarah once again this year, as she continues to balance performance and progression with a clear commitment to doing the right thing for the future of motorsport.
