Our Brand Ambassadors Team Up In France

March 30, 2023

Carbon Positive Motorsport Brand Ambassadors Matt Edwards and Ashleigh Morris team up in pre-event testing in France.

Carbon Positive Motorsport brand ambassadors Matt Edwards and Ashleigh Morris teamed up this week for a testing session ahead of the French Rallye de Grasse which runs from Friday 31st March to and Saturday 1st April, in a Sebastian Loeb Sport built Peugeot 208 Rally 4, hired from Racing Solutions.

The event is a first for Ashleigh and competing overseas had been a long-held ambition. Following a successful recce earlier this week, she was joined by triple BRC champion Matt Edwards for a day of testing.

Throughout the event Ashleigh and Matt will have all their recce, testing, event and travel related carbon emissions offset using the Carbon Positive Motorsport International carbon offsetting project package.

Ashleigh speaking after the test with Matt Edwards said: “I’m incredibly excited to be competing in my first rally abroad! It’s something I first spoke to Racing Solutions about in 2020, but was delayed due to covid."

She added, "I’m looking forward to a new experience: the roads are very different to those in the UK and there are some really long stages. It will be my first time making my own pace notes from scratch, as well as my first time driving a Rally 4 car.

"It will certainly push my development as a driver and I’m sure I will learn a lot from the experience. Thank you to my sponsors Carbon Positive Motorsport, Morris Lubricants and Demon Tweeks for their ongoing support and to Racing Solutions for making this possible.”

Paul Glass said: “It’s great to see Matt and Ashleigh working together again. I’m really pleased for Ashleigh as she takes this next step in her rally career, which I know has been a long-held ambition.

"It’s fantastic that we can still provide offsetting to them when overseas, with our offsetting package developed for international events which we introduced last year, as we are legally not allowed to use our normal UK based WCC carbon offsetting projects for overseas emissions.

"We wish Ashleigh the very best of luck on the event."
