Formula G make motorsport sustainable

New grassroots gymkhana series, Formula G, heads towards sustainability

Exciting new series Formula G, the affordable and fun grassroots motorsport, has recently applied for MSUK affiliation and will feature at a number of motorsport events and shows this season.

Formula G is the UK's hottest gymkhana race series and offers one of the most affordable routes into competitive motorsport.

Recognising the need to make motorsport more sustainable, Formula G have approached Carbon Positive Motorsport and will be working with us to mitigate their carbon footprint.

John Birrell of Formula G explains, "At Formula G we see carbon offsetting as investing in the future of motorsport - if we don't consider our environmental impact today, we won't be able to race tomorrow. That's why we're partnering with Carbon Positive Motorsport to minimise the carbon footprint of our Championship."

Carbon Positive Motorsport are very happy to be onboard with John and the complete Formula G championship in 2022. CPM Director Steve Smith added, "We're looking forward to the start of Formula G in June at Santa Pod, but we'll be getting started with a couple of practice and demonstration events beforehand. We wish Formula G all the very best as they start their inaugural championship, and it's great to have the opportunity to broaden our reach into this exciting new discipline."

Carbon Positive Motorsport will provide Formula G competitors a special discount code for the whole championship, to allow them to use our affordable fuel offsetting.

It only costs a little to make a big difference for the sport, so whether you're a competitor or spectator, why not join with us to help make motorsport sustainable.
