Carbon Positive Motorsport is encouraging competitors, teams and organisers to take practical climate action through its Offset Your Season packages, created specifically for the sport.
The initiative gives competitors a simple way to measure and take responsibility for their motorsport fuel use across a season, using recognised carbon conversion factors and clear CO2e calculations.
Since 2022, Carbon Positive Motorsport’s Positive About Motorsport initiative has enabled more than one million kilograms of CO2e to be mitigated. That milestone has been achieved through the collective support of more than 700 competitors across 19 events, 12 major championships, eight countries and eight different motorsport disciplines.

How You Can Get Involved
The Offset Your Season package is designed to make carbon responsibility simple. Based on estimated fuel consumption, competitors can choose to offset one, two or three tonnes of CO2e. Each tonne represents approximately 430 litres of petrol, making the package suitable for a wide range of competitors and season lengths.
Each package combines immediate carbon offsetting through certified international carbon credits with investment in recognised UK nature projects that will deliver wider environmental benefits over time. This approach allows competitors to take responsibility for their emissions now, while also supporting long-term nature restoration, biodiversity and climate resilience in the UK.
With every tonne of offsetting purchased, competitors receive a gift pack including an official offsetting certificate, details of the projects and verification standards used, and two Positive About Motorsport decals. The certificate and decals are printed on FSC-certified paper or recycled materials, helping competitors communicate their commitment clearly to sponsors, teams, organisers and spectators.
