We are delighted to announce that Sarah Hall has joined Carbon Positive Motorsport as a Race Ambassador for the 2023 season.
CPM Director Steve Smith: "The CPM team are very pleased to welcome Sarah into our small but elite and very important group of race and rally driver ambassadors.
"She has a busy year coming up and CPM will offset all of her competition fuel usage for testing, practice and racing for 2023."
Sarah has worked in the motorsport industry since leaving school, and been a motorsport fan all her life. She's followed her Dad's racing career, but only got her competition licence in 2021. "He's a very skilled driver and a determined person. I really admire that, and I look for these qualities in famous drivers such as Michele Mouton and Ayrton Senna. They have/had a real passion for the sport and it shone through in everything they did."
She made her racing debut in an EnduroKa race at Brands Hatch, and then did one further race at Croft with Focus Cup in 2022. Sarah told us, "I've worked with Focus Cup behind the scenes for a few years now, and for 2023 I've had the unexpected opportunity to race the whole season. I'm incredibly grateful to be getting out there, it's been a dream of mine for so many years."
She knows there's hard work ahead. "I've got a lot of work to do throughout the season to get up to pace, but I'm enjoying the process of learning the race craft skills I need and improving my times and my driving."
Sarah adds, "It's a harsh reality that the automotive world is changing whether we like it or not and we can bury our heads in the sand or we can try to do something about it. At some stage we are going to face some real restrictions around combustion engines and this is why Carbon Positive Motorsport is an important partnership to me in my debut season."
Carbon Positive Motorsport will offsetting her unavoidable CO2 emissions and will be helping Sarah and her sponsors work towards other ways where she can be as carbon positive as possible.
Sarah says, "It's simply a step in the right direction in making motorsport more sustainable and keeping our beloved sport alive for future generations. "
We wish Sarah all the very best for the forthcoming championship, with round one starting on the 1st April at Donington Park.
